A photo collage featuring four distinct fashion moments of Maddy Perez

From archival McQueen to vintage Versace, Maddy Perez dominates Euphoria season three with a sharp, sophisticated, and impossibly chic wardrobe.

In 2019, the now-renowned HBO show, “Euphoria”, hit our small screens like a meteor. It reshaped the current beauty trends and became a pivotal part of the 2020s zeitgeist. Its makeup, fashion, memes, and even its actors are familiar references for this generation. However, over the years, the show has slowly lost much of its initial charm, and its third season distanced itself from the maximalist makeup it was associated with.

In theory, it is reasonable that kids who experimented with colours and textures would grow up to be more like the average. However, “Euphoria” is not known for its realistic portrayal of fashion and beauty. Season two literally had Kat Hernandez ( played by Barbie Ferreira ) wearing Vivienne Westwood to school. However, Kat was not the only thing missing this season; the typical style was as well.

For a series that has spent much of its third season dividing audiences, there is one point of rare consensus: Maddy Perez remains Euphoria’s undisputed fashion star. While viewers debated the show’s darker storylines, time jump and dramatic tonal shift, Maddy’s wardrobe emerged as one of the season’s greatest successes.

Five years older and now working at a Hollywood talent agency, the character played by Alexa Demie has evolved from the hyper-glamorous teenager of seasons one and two into a woman whose style is sharper, darker and infinitely more expensive-looking. Costume designer Natasha Newman-Thomas steered Maddy towards a world of archival designer fashion, vintage glamour and what many fans have dubbed a “mob wife” aesthetic, making her the standout dresser of the season. From sheer blouses and faux fur coats to revenge dresses and wedding guest glamour, these are Maddy Perez’s best fashion moments from “Euphoria” season three.

Episode one: the arrival of the office siren

A full-length television still of Maddy Perez walking confidently down an outdoor street with a subtle smile. She is wearing a sheer, flowy white blouse paired with a high-waisted black mini skirt, sheer black tights, and black heels. A large black leather tote bag is tucked under her arm. In the background, multiple background actors dressed in full ancient Roman military armour and red feathered helmets lean on spears beside wooden chariots.

Maddy’s first episode delivered two standout looks. The first paired an Acne Studios skirt with a Victoria’s Secret bra, worn beneath a white sheer blouse that instantly became one of the season’s most talked-about outfits. It was bold, polished and unmistakably Maddy. Later, she switched into a more understated office ensemble.

She is wearing an open, sheer white long-sleeved button-down blouse over a contrasting black undergarment. A delicate gold rosary-style necklace rests on her chest, and she wears chunky gold hoop earrings. She carries a large black leather tote bag on her shoulder. The background features several actors dressed as ancient Roman soldiers in armour with bright red plumed helmets, standing in front of a plain beige wall.

Episode two: a masterclass in archival fashion

A full-length outdoor portrait of Maddy Perez posing in front of a glass storefront. She is wearing a sleeveless, high-neck red crop top paired with avant-garde, wide-leg flared trousers. The pants feature a cream-and-gold brocade pattern with dramatic crimson red cut-outs at the hips and lower shins. She coordinates the outfit with red pointed-toe heels, a small black shoulder bag, and a simple gold cross necklace, smiling gently at the camera.

Episode two was packed with some of Maddy’s strongest looks of the entire season. Her Alexander McQueen Spring 2000 trousers immediately caught the attention of fashion fans, and this proved the costume department’s full commitment to archival dressing.

The look perfectly balanced, the scene as she is seen trying to get a job in the entertainment industry. Elsewhere in the episode, during her leisure time, she delivered another hit in an Attico kimono dress, further cementing her reputation as the character with the best wardrobe on television.

    Episode three: the wedding look

A wide television still of Maddy Perez walking forward down a long outdoor walkway decorated for a wedding. She wears a striking olive green dress with dramatic cut-outs across the torso, thin gold chain straps, and a high slit showcasing her leg. A matching green fur stole is draped loosely over her shoulders and upper arms. Her hair is slicked back into a neat updo, and she wears a deep, dark lipstick. The sunlit walkway is lined with dark pillars adorned with pink drapery and colourful floral arrangements.

“Euphoria” gave a moment of silence for this look. If there is one outfit destined to join the pantheon of iconic Maddy Perez fashion moments, it is her wedding guest look from episode three. Set against the chaos of Nate and Cassie’s wedding, the ensemble commanded attention from the moment it appeared on screen.

The look felt instantly iconic, earning comparisons to Maddy’s carnival outfit from season one and her unforgettable New Year’s Eve dress from season two. The all-green dress with cut-outs had a crucifix attached to its almost-backless design.

Her back is bare, showing off a delicate gold rosary chain that cascades down her spine, ending in a gold crucifix. Episode four: the Valentino coat and Di Petsa set

For the influencer party, Maddy arrived wrapped in a dramatic Valentino shearling coat layered over a custom deep-blue Di Petsa two-piece set. The oversized fur coat brought an air of old-Hollywood excess, while the body-skimming set underneath delivered the sensuality that has always defined Maddy’s style.

The contrast between the two pieces is what made the outfit so memorable. The coat felt unapologetically extravagant, while the custom Di Petsa look hugged the body like a second skin, creating a silhouette that was glamorous and intimidating. More than any other outfit in the episode, it captured the direction of Maddy’s current wardrobe: luxurious, ambitious and impossible to ignore. It was the moment viewers realised that Maddy was dressing like a woman determined to be seen.

Episode five: Jean Paul Gaultier excellence

Maddy Perez leaning forward over a dark office desk, resting her hands flat on the surface while looking directly at the camera. She wears a bright red off-the-shoulder top featuring a long, swinging fringe trim across the chest, paired with a high-waisted black skirt decorated with red embroidery. Her hair is styled in soft, polished old-Hollywood waves. The desk in front of her holds an Apple keyboard, mouse, documents, a red-handled pair of scissors, and a smartphone.

Episode five was a gift to fashion lovers. Among the highlights was Maddy’s office outfit, featuring vintage Missoni paired with a Prada Autumn/Winter 2017 skirt; even her workwear was meticulously curated.

But the episode’s scene-stealer was the second Jean Paul Gaultier look: an orange fur-trimmed two-piece from the designer’s Autumn/Winter 1995 collection. The moment Maddy appeared on screen, the outfit secured its place in the Maddy Perez fashion hall of fame. It was daring and a visual message of who she wants to be, no idea how she affords it as a starting talent manager.

She is looking slightly away from her companion with a thoughtful expression, holding a red straw inside a chocolate milkshake glass. She has metallic silver stiletto nails, large hoop earrings, and her hair is styled in a high-volume vintage flip.

The outfit consists of a bright, textured orange quilted cropped jacket and a matching midi skirt, both heavily embellished with thick, multi-toned brown faux fur trims on the collar and cuffs. The surrounding clothing rack is filled with other garments wrapped in protective plastic.

Episode six: the power of a Versace leather jacket

Episode Six introduced one of the most thoughtful pieces in Maddy’s wardrobe — a vintage Versace Spring 2002 jacket. Beyond simply being a fantastic piece, the jacket appeared across three different scenes, styled with different hairstyles and outfits.

It was an effective costume-design choice. By allowing Maddy to rewear clothing, and as X user, saintdoII said, “It’s a small touch that makes her closet feel lived-in and real.” The result was a character whose fashion felt authentic despite its luxury credentials.

She is wearing a structured, front-zipping leather jacket featuring a long fringe trim along the chest and midsection, paired with a dark mini skirt. Her hair is styled in loose, voluminous curls. In the background, an office setting with a neon sign reading "Only Inside with Stay&Go" is visible.

Episode seven and the finale: from Ed Hardy to final girl

A studio-style shot of Maddy Perez standing with her hands behind her back against a textured, gold-brown fabric wallpaper. She is wearing a fitted, neutral-toned slip dress adorned with a large graphic print of the Virgin Mary on the front. Her dark hair is parted down the middle and styled with flipped-out ends resting on her shoulders. She wears a thin gold cross necklace and a dark, defined lip look while staring directly into the camera.

Maddy entered episode seven in another instant classic: the Virgin Mary mesh dress by Ed Hardy. The look combined nostalgia, edge and confidence, becoming one of the season’s most celebrated outfits.

The finale delivered one last fashion triumph with a LaQuan Smith Autumn/Winter 2024 ensemble that perfectly captured Maddy’s final-girl energy. It was a fitting conclusion to a season of exceptional costume design. Throughout the series, Natasha Newman-Thomas built a wardrobe that reflected Maddy’s ambition, independence and desire for more.

She wears an unbuttoned, plunging dark pinstripe blazer over her bare chest, accessorised with a delicate gold cross necklace and small drop earrings. Her dark hair is styled in a voluminous 1960s-inspired bouffant flip, complemented by sharp winged eyeliner and deep lip liner. The background features a striking black and gold zebra-patterned wall panel.

Defining a new era of working-girl glamour

Season three may have sparked endless debate, but Maddy Perez’s wardrobe was one thing viewers could agree on. From archival McQueen and Gaultier to vintage Versace and Moschino, her closet was a reminder that a working girl can be chic, and its fashion remains unmatched.
